JOHN FLUKE - FOUNDER FLUKE

Our history

Our company was founded by John Fluke in Springdale, Connecticut, USA in 1948. In 1953, the company was incorporated in the US state of Washington as the John Fluke Manufacturing Company, Inc. This is the state where John Fluke was born on December 14, 1911.

In 1982, John Fluke appointed George Winn president of Fluke and a year later appointed his son John Jr. chief executive. On February 11, 1984, John Fluke died. He was 72.

In 1993, Fluke bought the testing and measuring device division from Philips Electronics in Eindhoven, Netherlands. This location today serves as Fluke’s regional office for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In the United Kingdom, Fluke has an office and manufacturing facility in Norwich, Norfolk.

The Fluke brand has a reputation for portability, ruggedness, safety, ease of use and rigid standards of quality. Fluke Corporation has authorized distributor and manufacturer representative channels in more than 100 countries.
